PRAYER

"Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray. Is anyone cheerful? Let him sing praise. Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith will save the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working." - James 5:13-16

We believe in prayer not only because the Bible instructs us to pray but because we have seen and witnessed firsthand the work of God in and through prayer! As Pastor H.B. Charles Jr. says, "When we work, we work. But when we prayGod works!"

MONTHLY PRAYER & PRAISE SERVICES

Join us on the first Thursday evening of every month for our monthly "Night of Prayer & Praise" at First Parish Church (10 Parish Street, Dorchester). We spend this time not only praying for our own needs but the needs of our church, our neighborhood, our city and the world!

Dinner begins at 5:30PM and our prayer service runs from 6:15-7:15PM. Childcare is also provided for children ages 0-5.

SUNDAY WORSHIP PRAYER MINISTERS

Every Sunday towards the end of our worship service we have trained prayer ministers who are available to listen and to pray for you. Whether your needs are physical, spiritual, emotional, mental we encourage all who are in need of healing to come and receive prayer!

PRAYER REQUESTS

Furthermore, if you are unable to attend a Sunday worship service but would still like to receive prayer please contact one of our pastors or contact our prayer ministers with your specific prayer requests so that we know how we can specifically be praying for you.
